This is why most large organizations think the platform is not suitable for large businesses. First off, WordPress is the product of an open source project which is why practically anybody can download the full version.

Secondly, there are thousands of professional developers and site owners who use the platform for their established businesses and projects. A true professional knows that they can benefit from the collaboration of thousands of people, thanks to the WordPress ecosystem to spread their word and gain recognition in the market.

#2. WordPress Is Only For Blogging

Sure, WordPress did start off as a well-known blogging engine but all that has changed over the years. At present, WordPress is a full-fledged content management system that is capable of supporting everything, from social network platforms to an ecommerce store. The fast and reliable source can be used for all kinds of purposes so there is no reason it cannot help you with whatever you are dreaming up. You can develop WordPress themes to your liking.

#3. WordPress Is Too Slow

Here’s the thing: WordPress is not inherently slow, Speed simply depends on the user. The platform can be made slow if it is not managed properly. Out of the box, the platform is a dynamic side generator and can be made incredibly fast if you use the right plugins. Bad hosting and poorly managed installation, coupled with unnecessary plugins will slow down the website but that is not the fault of WordPress development. With the introduction of PHP 7 and CMS, the platform has gotten a lot faster and be used for all kinds of purposes.

#4. WordPress Is Boring

Many people believe WordPress won’t allow them to do anything outside the box. This is not true. It is your job to utilize your skills and use the platform to convert database content into HTML markup. Once you have cracked the codes, you can do whatever you want. In fact, you can even use your site to make a mobile app.

#5. WordPress Isn’t Secure

Here’s the deal, secure is a relative term and all platforms have their own list of vulnerabilities. Take important security measures and create difficult passwords to prevent your website from getting hacked. There are tons of resources on the internet that can help you make a more secure website.
