If you have a serious disability, or know somebody who does, you’ll probably know all about the challenges that exist when trying to lead a normal life. Dealing with a disability may seem to be the main issue, but it really isn’t the only problem. Try to fit into society and becoming accepting by others is almost as hard. So finding some way of managing this scenario must be part of the solution. iOS Smartphones have come up with a possible solution in the shape of some veryclever Apps. We have a couple here and would love it if you could please read the unbiased reviews and see if you might possibly have a use for either of them – Thanks for reading.
SoundAMP Lite By Ginger Labs – $0.99 – https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/soundamp-lite/id338621077?mt=8
This App will run on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and it will require iOS 3.1.2 or later for smooth running. If you are partially deaf, it can really be difficult to listen to or join in with your buddy’s conversations, especially in a busy place. Standard hearing aids are okay, but they are kind of fundamental to be honest. Well now you can use your favourite Smartphone and with the help of SoundAMP, things will because crystal clear again. Simply plug in your ear buds and tweak the controls until you have eliminated the background noise effectively enough to get back in the conversation. They will work in almost any noisy and busy situation and eventually you can start backing off the volume as you become adjusted to the sound levels. It has already won many awards including the ‘Top 5 Medical app’ and has been downloaded over 60,000 in 55 countries. We would recommend it to anyone who has had enough of saying ‘pardon’ and wants to get back in the loop- we love it!
Parking Mobility By Coal Harbour Group – Free – https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/parking-mobility/id337141354?mt=8
This App will run on your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and it will require iOS 6.1 or later for smooth running. Okay, have you gotten sick of those cheats who use and abuse the disabled badge just for parking spots? Well we certainly have and this application is going to make a lot of frustrated people very happy indeed. Parking Mobility works in a very slick way, if you are out and about and see somebody using a disabled space without a badge, or perhaps not their badge, you can get to work. Simply take a snap of the illegally parked car and upload the details to the application. Thereafter, Parking Mobility will let the city council know and the car will be dealt with rather swiftly. You can also do more good by adding disabled parking spots to the application and this will let disabled drivers know where they can park safely in future. A cool application and if it stops just a few of those cheeky buggers from using disabled spaces, that’s good enough for us!
